I signed up again for the Kids Clothes Week Challenge on the Elsie Marley blog. Like last time I only managed to finish one thing, and that was several weeks after everyone else. But, I'm amazed at what I've achieved being a novice seamstress!
I love this pattern. It's the Family Reunion Dress/Blouse by Oliver and S. It's so easy to follow, and although it's quite dear to buy, I can see that I'll be making it again and again.
The fabric is Free as a Bird which is part of the Cut Out and Keep collection by Cloud 9 Fabrics. I bought it from M is For Make.
There's a ruffle at the front and pin tucks front and back. It fastens at the rear.
I've already cut out the pieces for another version. A dress this time.
gosh, it's so pretty Vicky, but cool too. Lucky old Betty.
ReplyDelete(I snorted out loud when I read your words about being a novice!)
I just love this fabric!
ReplyDeletethis is just adorable. I already commented on your flickr picture, but just wanted to spread the love out a little farther. you make me want to go out and get the pattern!
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable. That fabric is one of my favourites (I have a metre that I haven't cut into yet - don't want to waste it!), and you have made such a pretty thing with it. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteHello! I think I like the pattern as a blouse rather than a dress. The fabric is super cute. I've seen it around, but after seeing it here, I want it!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I will definitely have to try that pattern out, it shows off the fabric beautifully.
ReplyDeleteAll lovely, pattern and fabric, congratulations :-D Betty looks very happy.
